Going Cruelty Free! Rebuilding My Kit

WOW! It has been forever since I last posted! I’m so sorry. I have been going through a lot of changes with my skincare and makeup and slowly transitioning my makeup to organic, natural, and cruelty free. It has definitely been a process, but my skin surely appreciates it! Not only that, but your body absorbs whatever you put on your skin and it’s a much better choice to know what is going on your face. My entire kit has not been rebuilt yet, however.. my everyday kit is now completely cruelty free and almost all natural. It’s taken me awhile to figure out which products i like, but I think I almost have it down and that’s what i am going to share with you today! Hope you enjoy! xoxo

MY KIT

(Please excuse the messiness. I had just used the products)

Mineral Fusion:

I had never heard of this line of makeup before, but I think they are the best/closest you can get to a quality, organic, cruelty for, “drugstore” brand. It’s sold at Whole Foods. They have some great products and some iffy products. Actually only one iffy product, and that is their volumizing mascara. Its pretty drying and can get clumpy if you apply more than two coats. Some of their great products though are their color correcting face primer. It gives your skin a beautiful matte finish and leaves it feeling super soft. You can literally see the difference just from applying this primer. Their concealer duo (I own it in cool froid) is amazing also. I contains 2 different shades of medium coverage concealer. I use the darker one for concealing and lighter for highlight my cheeks, nose, and brow bone. I also like to use their bronzer duo to conceal and highlight my face and use the bronzer in the crease of my eye to create a contour there too. After I’ve applied my face powder (another product I’ll detail down below), I use Mineral Fusion’s blush in Smashing Sensass. Its a very pretty pink that i think could honestly go with any skin type. Lastly I use thier eye shadow in Prism to highlight the center of my lid after applying my cream shadows (also, see products below).

ZUZU

Zuzu is another product from Whole Foods. There honestly isn’t much that is super special about it, except that they were the only natural brand that I could find that sold eyeliner pencils, and they do work well. I also use their powder to set my concealer and blend my bronzer. I’ve stopped using foundation for now until i find one that i truly love.

100% Pure

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this brand!!! They make their products with all natural ingredients and most, if not all, of their makeup is dyed with fruit for color! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!! I use their double sided jumbo pencil, using the pink side for my lid and the brown side for my crease before blending it out  and setting it with the mineral fusion liner and powder shadow. I also use their Fruit Pigmented Eye Shadow in Halo to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and my brow bone. I use their lip and cheek tint on both my cheeks (after applying concealer and before powder and powder blush), and my lips all day. Its super smooth and Peach Glow is the most perfect color ever. It the perfect peachy pink. Lastly for my eyes, I use their Creamy Long Last Liner in Blackest to line my tight line and their liquid eyeliner in black berry on my upper lash line and wing it out.

This is another (non makeup related) item from them that I am OBSESSED with. It smells like a freshly cracked open coconut. It’s absolutely delicious smelling and makes your hands feel silky smooth. This lotion is with me at ALL TIMES.

Bdellium Tools

These are my makeup brushes. They are made from bamboo and synthetic bristles. They are 100% cruelty free, eco friendly, and even better than my sigma brushes (sorry sigma).
